THE BLOOD ALONE SAVES

Exodus 12:13
Now the blood shall be a sign for you
on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you;
and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you…
On the night
of the first Passover, many of the children of Israel were probably anxious.
Imagine one Israelite asking another nervously, “Did you hear that the angel of
death is passing through tonight?”
“Yes! We
were told to put the blood of the lamb on the doorposts of our home and
everything would be all right. Is that true?”
Like the
Israelites, you might be wondering, “Can the blood really protect me? How much
blood do I have to put on my doorposts? Will the angel of death get me if I am
fearful?”
My friend,
don’t add to God’s conditions. He said, “When I see the blood, I will
pass over you and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you.” He did not
say, “When I see the blood, plus your understanding, efforts, obedience,
faithfulness and refusal to give in to fear, then I will pass over you.”
It is the
blood of Jesus alone that delivers you. If you think that it is because of your
faith, then you will always be wondering, “Do I have enough faith?” No my
friend, it is His blood alone that saves. And when God sees that you see that
it is the blood alone that saves, He calls that faith in the blood, and every
plague will pass over you!
God wants
you to know that it is Jesus’ blood alone that saves because every time
you think that your deliverance depends partly on God and partly on you, you
will not have a settled peace in your heart. But when you know that it is the
blood alone that saves, you will have an unshakable peace.
It was the
blood that saved the children of Israel from the destroyer on that Passover
night and it is still the blood that saves today. And all you need to do for
the blood to avail is to say, “Father, I thank You that the blood of Jesus
alone covers me and my family. No evil, plague or disaster will befall me or my
family because of the blood!”
Thought For The Day
When you
know that it is Jesus’ blood alone that saves, you will enjoy unshakable peace.
Your Future Is in the Lord
By Joyce Meyer - Posted June

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to
preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to
preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to
set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the
Lord.
—Luke 4:18-19 KJV
—Luke 4:18-19 KJV
I come from a background of abuse; I
was raised in a dysfunctional home. My childhood was filled with fear and
torment. The experts say that a child's personality is formed within the first
five years of his life. My personality was a mess! I lived in pretense behind
walls of protection that I had built to keep people from hurting me. I was
locking others out, but I was also locking myself in. I was a controller, so
filled with fear that the only way I could face life was to feel that I was in
control, and then no one could hurt me. As a young adult trying to live for
Christ and follow the Christian lifestyle, I knew where I had come from, but I
did not know where I was going. I felt that my future would always be marred by
my past. I thought, How could anyone who has the kind of past I do ever be
really all right? It's impossible!
However, Jesus said that He came to
make well those who were sick, brokenhearted, wounded, and bruised—those broken
down by calamity.
Jesus came to open the prison doors and
set the captives free. I did not make any progress until I started to believe
that I could be set free. I had to have a positive vision for my life. I had to
believe that my future was not determined by my past or even my present.
You may have had a miserable past, you
may even be in current circumstances that are very negative and depressing. You
may be facing situations that are so bad it seems you have no real reason to
hope. But I say to you boldly, your future is not determined by your past or
your present!
Unprecedented Favor

TODAY'S
SCRIPTURE:
"And [so that you can know and
understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of
His power in and for us who believe…"
(Ephesians 1:19, AMPC)
(Ephesians 1:19, AMPC)
TODAY'S WORD:
Every one of us can say that, in our
lives, God has been good to us. We’ve all seen God’s favor at work. He has
protected us, promoted us and opened doors for us. That’s God’s favor. But I
believe that in the coming days, God wants to show us unprecedented
favor—that’s favor like we haven’t seen before.
In today’s verse, Paul said that in the “ages to come” we would see “the immeasurable, unlimited, surpassing greatness of God’s favor.” What’s interesting is that Paul wrote this passage ages ago. I believe that we are now living in the “ages to come” that Paul was talking about. I believe you and I are going to see this unprecedented favor!
The word “unprecedented” means “unmatched, unparalleled, for the first time.” In other words, you may have seen God’s favor in the past, but you need to get ready. You haven’t seen anything yet. What God has in your future is going to be bigger, better, greater—unprecedented! He is going to show you His goodness in ways you’ve never seen before. Keep standing, keep praying, keep putting Him first and watch His unprecedented favor come on every area of your life!

PRAYER FOR
TODAY:
Father God, thank You for this day and
age I’m living in. I believe that You created me for such a time as this. By
faith, I receive Your unprecedented favor as I serve You with my whole heart in
Jesus’ name. Amen.
Choose Your Reward

Rejoice in that day and
leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven.
Luke 6:23a
Luke 6:23a
Recommended Reading: Matthew 6:1-6, 16-18
Children get rewarded for
selling the most cookies or wrapping paper for their school. Adults get
rewarded for providing authorities with information about a crime. We get
rewards for shopping at our favorite grocery store or for using a certain
credit card. We are committed to the idea of rewards. We love to be rewarded!
And we aren’t the only ones.
Jesus pointed out the activities of religious leaders in His day who performed
religious activities in public in order to be rewarded by people with praise
(Matthew 6:1-6, 16-18). He pointed out to His disciples how rich people made a
public show of the money they donated to the temple treasury (Mark 12:41-44).
But He also clarified that being rewarded by men is not the same as being rewarded
by God. If we choose to seek the rewards of man while on this earth, we won’t
be rewarded by God in heaven. But if we serve God for His sake alone, we will
be rewarded in heaven. Which reward would be better? Which would endure and be
more meaningful?
We have a choice in our
spiritual life: Seek the rewards of man or the rewards of God. We can’t receive
both (Matthew 6:24).
Those who give to God
only the shadow of duty can never expect from Him a real reward.

SEE THE ABUNDANCE WITHIN YOU
By Joseph Prince

Luke 17:21
…For indeed, the kingdom of God is
within you.”
When you
were younger, were you often scolded for not finishing all your food or leaving
the lights and fan on when you left your room? Were you constantly reminded
that there are people starving in the world, that electricity costs a lot of
money and that money doesn’t grow on trees? Now, do you find yourself telling
your child the same things?
We are
naturally conscious of lack, but Jesus isn’t. Even in the midst of lack, He was
always conscious of abundance. Remember the little boy’s five loaves and two fish?
What did Jesus do when these were placed in His hands? Did He say, “What do you
expect Me to do with so little?” No, His eyes were not on the natural, the
visible, the lack. His eyes were on the kingdom of God where there is always
abundance. So in His hands, the little boy’s lunch was multiplied, and 5,000
men, not counting women and children, were fed that day! (John 6:1–13)
God doesn’t
want you to be conscious of the lack in your natural circumstances. He doesn’t
want you to live by how much you earn or how much you have in the bank. Now, I
am not encouraging you to spend foolishly beyond your means. I am saying that
God wants you to be conscious of the abundance of resources in His kingdom.
“But Pastor
Prince, where is that kingdom?”
As long as
you have received Jesus as your Savior, that kingdom is in you!
Jesus said
that “the kingdom of God is within you”. This means that the kingdom of God is
not some physical place. It is within you and it is where the abundance of
resources is. So if you want to experience abundance in your life, be conscious
first of the abundance inside you. Then, what is inside you will become a
reality on the outside.
Beloved, God
doesn’t want you to be conscious of the lack you see outside you. He wants you
to be conscious of the abundance within you because His kingdom is within you!
Thought For The Day
The kingdom
of God, where there is always abundance, is within you!
It's Only Temporary

TODAY'S
SCRIPTURE:
"For our light and momentary
troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them
all."
(2 Corinthians 4:17, NIV)
(2 Corinthians 4:17, NIV)
TODAY'S WORD:
In this world, we all have troubles and
trials, but aren’t you glad that scripture promises that they are only
temporary? Today’s verse tells us they are momentary. Compared with eternity,
our troubles won’t last long at all! The second part of this verse tells us
that when we stand strong in faith during times of adversity, we are building
that faith and achieving eternal glory. When you confess your trust and
reliance on God, you are passing the test!
If you are in the middle of tough times today, look to God. The Bible says that Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith. He is the one who writes faith on your heart and then develops it to completion on the inside of you as you yield yourself to Him. Your part is to seek Him daily. Follow His commands. Open your heart and choose to speak His Word which is alive and active. Remember, your trials are only temporary, but His eternal glory outweighs it all!

Heavenly Father, thank You for working
