2 Peter 1:2-3
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in
the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us
all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who
called us by glory and virtue,
Imagine if
God were to visit you in a dream tonight and ask you what He could do for you.
What would you say to Him? Would you ask Him to give you a deeper knowledge of
Jesus our Lord?
God’s Word
tells us that when you receive revelation in the knowledge of Jesus, it will
cause grace and peace to be multiplied in your life. It will cause you to
receive all things that pertain to life and godliness.
What is
grace? It is the unmerited, unearned and undeserved favor of God shown to us.
There is nothing we can do to earn God’s grace. But the more we learn of the
beauty and love of our Lord Jesus, the more we see His perfect work on the
cross, and the more we position ourselves to receive a multiplication of God’s
grace in our lives.
The verse
says that peace too, is multiplied to us through the knowledge of Jesus our
Lord. The peace of God sets our hearts free from fear, stress, worries,
anxieties and cares. Wouldn’t you want to have the peace of God presiding over
your heart always?
God’s divine
power has given us all things that pertain not just to godliness, but to life
as well. Wouldn’t you say that health, money, a good job and a nice home for
your family pertain to life? Well, all these things and everything else which
God has already given is released to you through the knowledge of Jesus our
Lord.
So let’s ask
God every day, “Father, give me wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of
Jesus.” For to know Jesus is to have grace and peace multiplied to us. To know
Jesus is to receive all things pertaining to life and godliness!
Thought For The Day
The more we see
Jesus and His perfect work on the cross, the more we position ourselves to
receive a multiplication of God’s grace in our lives.
From the Pit to the Palace

And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Forasmuch as [your] God has shown you
all this, there is nobody as intelligent and discreet and understanding and
wise as you are. You shall have charge over my house, and all my people shall
be governed according to your word . . . Only in matters of the throne will I
be greater than you are.
—Genesis 41:39-40
—Genesis 41:39-40
Joseph was sold into slavery by his
brothers. They actually threw him into a pit and intended to leave him there to
die, but God had other plans. Joseph ended up being sold into slavery in Egypt,
where he was thrown in prison for refusing to compromise his integrity. Yet
everywhere Joseph went, God gave him favor. Ultimately, Joseph was promoted to
the palace, second in command to Pharaoh.
How did Joseph get from the pit to the
palace? I believe it was by remaining positive, refusing to be bitter, and choosing
to boldly trust God. Even though it looked like he was defeated on many
occasions, he refused to give up on trusting God.
Joseph had a right attitude. He knew
God was in control even when it looked like the circumstances of his life were
spinning out of control. The same is true in your life. If you’ll keep a
positive attitude, knowing that God is in control, He can take you from the pit
to the palace in ways you never imagined.
No matter where you started, you can have a great finish!
Your Sun and Shield

TODAY'S
SCRIPTURE:
"For the LORD God is a sun and
shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from
them that walk uprightly."
(Psalm 84:11, KJV)
(Psalm 84:11, KJV)
TODAY'S WORD:
Scripture says that God wants to be our
sun and shield. What does the sun do for us? It lights our way, it keeps us
warm, it nourishes the plants of the earth so that we can have food. The earth
is sustained by its relationship to the sun, and God wants to sustain you
through your relationship with Him. He also wants to be your shield of
protection against all the fiery darts of the enemy. He wants to light and
direct your path.
Are you ready to receive Him as your sun and shield today? Have you been relying on something or someone else to be your protection or give you direction? If you have, decide today to lean on your heavenly Father. Open your heart and receive all He has for you. Receive His favor, blessing and protection today. Let Him be your sun and shield as you move forward in victory all the days of your life!

PRAYER FOR
TODAY:
Father in heaven, today I open my heart
and mind to You. I receive Your blessing and favor and ask that You direct my
every step. Show me Your ways so that I may walk with You today and always in
Jesus’ name. Amen.

As I journeyed to
Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests … I saw a light
from heaven, brighter than the sun….
Acts 26:12-13
Acts 26:12-13
The story of Paul’s
conversion on the road to Damascus is given three times in the book of Acts.
It’s told as it happened in a historical narrative in Acts 9. Then Paul related
the story to a crowd in Jerusalem in Acts 22 and to King Agrippa in Acts 26. In
his epistles, Paul referred several times to his miraculous conversion. For
example, he told the Galatians he had been a violent persecutor of the Church,
but God called him to preach the faith he had formerly sought to destroy
(Galatians 1:11-17).
Recommended Reading: Acts 26:12-23
Effective soul winners
understand the importance of sharing how they came to know Christ as Savior.
Seminary professor Chuck Lawless wrote, “The Bible is filled with people who
reached out to others simply by telling their story. Andrew told Peter he had met
the Messiah, and Philip echoed a similar story to Nathaniel (John 1:40-42). The
man born blind told all he could after meeting Jesus: ‘Once I was blind, but
now I see.’”
Today may be the day the
Lord gives you an opportunity of share your “Damascus Road” experience with
someone who needs Christ. .
Our stories are
evidences of grace. Some may seem more dramatic, but all are stories of
grace-saturated life transformation.
