Authority Over the Devil

By Joyce Meyer - Posted March 15, 2017

Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.
—Luke 10:19

One of the best ways to defend ourselves against the devil is to know the Word of God and speak it aloud against the lies he bombards our minds with. When the devil tells you God doesn't love you and you will never amount to anything, go to war using the Word of God. Get out your two-edged sword and use it!
Talk back to the devil, loud and clear, saying, "I am the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ" (see 2 Corinthians 5:21); "God has a good plan for my life" (see Jeremiah 29:11); and "Nothing can separate me from the love of God" (see Romans 8:35–39). Trust God—know that you are more than a conqueror through Christ as you confidently declare the truth of His Word.
Power Thought: Through Christ I have authority over the devil.

Loving or Loathing

By DR. David Jeremiah – Posted March 15, 2017
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:5
Recommended Reading: Romans 5:1-5
Can we be angry with someone we love? Of course, but we cannot long remain in such a state. Either our love will gain the upper hand, or our anger will harden into bitterness.
We bump into warnings about bitterness throughout the New Testament. Stephen told the ruling counsel, “For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness” (Acts 8:23). Paul told us to get rid of all “bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking” (Ephesians 4:31). Colossians warns husbands against developing bitterness toward their wives (Colossians 3:19). And the book of Hebrews warns that when a root of bitterness springs up, it causes trouble and defiles many (Hebrews 12:15).
Agape love and sinful anger cannot long exist in the same heart, so we must put aside angry thoughts and display God’s love. This doesn’t come merely by playing music, reading books, or listening to motivational speakers. It’s true we need all the help we can get. But true agape love has only one source—it pours into our hearts from God by the Holy Spirit.
Then we can release that love and let it overflow to others!
The Bible teaches that if we seek revenge, we are violating the principles of God, but we are also setting ourselves up for Satan’s control of our life.

His Plan for You Remains
By Joel Osteen – Posted March 15, 2017

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"God's gifts and his call are irrevocable."
Romans 11:29, NIV

TODAY'S WORD:

No matter where you’ve been, no matter what you’ve done, realize today that your destiny supersedes your mistakes. When God designed the plan for your life, it wasn’t dependent on you being perfect, never making a mistake, or never taking a wrong turn. No, God knew we would all make mistakes. He knows how to get you back on track no matter where you are in life. Just like there are many routes on a map, God has a plan to help you reach your destination. He has detours, shortcuts and bypasses. He has already calculated the entire route for your life.

Today, if you’re feeling like you’ve blown it, if you feel like you are too old, too far gone or too far off track, know that nothing you’ve done, no mistake that you’ve made—or ever will make—is a surprise to God. He’s already got it figured out. He’s arranged a comeback for every setback! He has grace for every weakness. He has mercy for every failure. Receive it today and move forward with boldness into the destiny He has for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for the gifts and talents You’ve given me. Thank You for keeping me on track and ordering my steps. I repent today for any disobedience that has caused me to get off course. Keep me close to You always as I set my love on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

GOD’S SUPERABOUNDING GRACE FOR YOU
By Joseph Prince – Posted March 15, 2017

2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make in all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

If you were in the same synagogue as the man with the withered hand (Luke 6:6–11), how would you see him and what do you think you would say to him?

Jesus was preaching in that synagogue when He saw the man with the withered hand. But He also saw superabounding grace around that hand for healing and wholeness. He sees differently from us. He sees the invisible. He sees that the kingdom of God is here, ever-present in any situation, with superabundant supply. We see only the visible, which is tangible, temporal and which seems so real to us.

But Jesus saw superabounding grace on that withered hand for healing because you do not tell a man with a withered hand, “Stretch out your hand,” unless you see the supply, the superabundance for wholeness for that hand. Jesus called forth the superabounding grace to envelop that man’s withered hand, and the hand was made whole.

It is possible for someone who is sick to have superabounding grace on him and yet that superabundance of grace does not heal his body. That is because he keeps acknowledging the lack or the problem he sees. He is more concerned with that which is visible and temporal.

Instead of calling forth, and acknowledging and confessing the superabundance of God’s grace, he confesses his negative circumstance all the time. So even though the superabounding grace is there, it is there in vain. Isn’t that sad?

Jesus called forth life, and life sprang into visibility. We must call forth what we want to see. Say, “Father, I thank You that right now, though my health is under attack, there is superabounding grace available for my healing and health. I call it forth and receive it now in Jesus’ name. Amen!”

My friend, don’t be conscious of what you see lacking or missing. Be conscious of God’s superabounding grace for you and avail yourself of it!

Thought For The Day

See the kingdom of God ever-present in every situation, with superabundant supply for you.
