Acts 16:31
So they said, “Believe on the Lord
Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
When God got
you saved, He didn’t just have you in mind. He had your whole family in mind.
That is why His Word says, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be
saved, you and your household.” Now, this does not mean that once you believe
in Jesus, your family members are automatically saved. What it means is that
you have opened a big door for God to move into your family’s life and to touch
every member of your family!
So don’t
worry about your unsaved parents or grandparents. God knows how to reach out to
them. A relative of mine spoke only Cantonese, and could not go to church
because she was very old and her legs were weak. But Jesus appeared to her in a
vision and spoke to her in perfect Cantonese! She had never encountered Jesus,
but knew that it was Him and understood what He said to her. After that, those
who visited and spoke with her were amazed by her knowledge of Jesus.
Even up to
the very last moment, God will reach out to your unsaved family members. This
happened to my late maternal grandfather who used to make fun of me being a
Christian. On his deathbed, he was gasping for air and in great discomfort. He
couldn’t die peacefully. My mother, who was with him, told him, “Dad, just say,
‘God, forgive me.’ Call on Jesus.” My grandfather remained hardened and in
great pain. But at the very last moment, he cried out, “Jesus, forgive me!”
You see, my
grandfather had no time to pray the sinner’s prayer. But God says that “whoever
calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved”. (Acts 2:21) Jesus will find
every excuse to save a person. My mother saw the peace of God come upon my
grandfather’s face after he had called out to Jesus, and he passed away
peacefully.
My friend,
God’s desire is for your entire household to be saved. Right now, your family
may be giving you a hard time, but because you are a Christian, a big door has
been opened for your Daddy God in heaven to touch them!
Thought For The Day
Once you
believe in Jesus, you open a big door for God to move into your family’s life
and to touch every member of your family!
The Greatest Love of All
By

TODAY'S
SCRIPTURE:
And now abide faith, hope, love, these
three; but the greatest of these is love
1 Corinthians 13:13, NKJV
1 Corinthians 13:13, NKJV
TODAY'S WORD:
In our culture today, so many people
are confused about what love is. We love pizza, movies and sports, but we also
love our family or spouse. If we look to the Word of God, we see God’s
definition of love. First Corinthians 13 tells us that “love is patient and
kind. It does not envy, nor boast. It is not proud. It is not rude. It does not
seek its own way, is not easily angered, and keeps no record of wrongs. Love
does not rejoice in evil, but rejoices in the truth. Love believes, hopes and
endures. Love never fails.” This is how God responds to us, and this is how we
should respond to the people in our lives—with patience, kindness, hope,
humility and love. Scripture tells us that God is love, and His character never
changes!
Today and every day, know that God loves you with an everlasting love. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is for you and has a good plan for you. Receive His perfect love today and let Him transform you from the inside out. His love is the greatest love and will last throughout all eternity!
Today and every day, know that God loves you with an everlasting love. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is for you and has a good plan for you. Receive His perfect love today and let Him transform you from the inside out. His love is the greatest love and will last throughout all eternity!
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for loving me. Thank You for doing a work in
my life. Help me to be more like You. Help me to see others the way You see
them and respond in love because You are love. I bless You and honor You today
in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Sufficient Grace

…My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for
you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble
manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed)
and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness.…
—2 Corinthians 12:9
—2 Corinthians 12:9
Do you ever wonder why God does not
always deliver you from your bondage and problems immediately? The reason is
because only the Lord knows everything that needs to be done in the lives of
His children—and the perfect timing for it to be done.
You are not always delivered from your
distress at the precise moment you call on the name of the Lord. Sometimes you
must endure for a while, be patient and continue in faith. Thank God, during
those times in which the Lord decides for whatever reason not to deliver you
right away, He always gives the grace and strength you need to press on toward
eventual victory.
One Tablespoon of Olive
Oil

The Spirit of the Lord
GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me…to give them beauty for ashes,
the oil of joy for mourning.
Isaiah 61:1, 3a
Isaiah 61:1, 3a
Recommended Reading: Isaiah 61:1-3
A Harvard physics lecturer,
Dr. Greg Kestin, recently conducted an experiment from a small boat on a choppy
lake. When he poured just one tablespoon of oil onto the lake, it quickly
spread over the surface of the water, calming the lake in an area measuring
half an acre. Since olive oil spreads to just one molecule thick, it covers a
wide area and creates a slick surface that prevents the wind from gaining
traction with the water, thus quieting the waves and whitecaps.
When we’re anointed with the
oil of the Holy Spirit, our words, deeds, attitudes, and influence spreads
further than we know, creating a joy that lessens the storms of life. When the
Holy Spirit uses us, we never know how far or how wide the ripple effect will
extend—either geographically or in time. One simple word or deed for Christ,
touched by the Spirit, may directly or indirectly touch someone elsewhere in
the world without our knowledge, and it may have a chain reaction that
continues until Christ comes.
Don’t be discouraged, for
your labor in the Lord is never in vain.
When you know that
everything matters—that every move counts as much as any other—you will begin
living a life of permanent purpose.
