John 11: 40
Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to
you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
God, who
parted the Red Sea, rained manna from heaven, caused the walls of Jericho to
fall, shut the lions’ mouths, healed the sick, raised the dead and calmed the
sea, still performs miracles today.
However,
some Christians doubt that God wants to work a miracle for them today. They
believe that there were miracles when Jesus walked the earth, but they think
that the day of miracles is over. And they talk about how everything will be
perfect one day in the sweet by and by. But God wants us to know that He is
still the God of miracles today.
Martha was
like one of those Christians. She wondered if Jesus could perform a miracle
when her brother Lazarus died. By the time Jesus arrived on the scene, Lazarus
had already been dead for four days. So she thought that Jesus was four days
too late. That is why she said, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would
not have died.” (John 11:21) And even when Jesus said that Lazarus would rise
again, she said, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the
last day.” (John 11:24)
Martha
believed that Jesus could perform miracles in the past and would do the same in
the future, but she did not believe that He could give her a miracle when she
needed it right then. You see, Martha was someone who lived wishing that the
past could be changed and believing that the future would be better. But she
did not believe that the “I Am” was there to meet her present need.
Today, God
stands at the point of your need. What miracle do you need from Him? Believe
that He is still the same miracle-working God today. Believe that you will see
the glory of God. Believe and you will see your miracle!
Thought For The Day
The “I Am”
is here to meet your present needs!
When Things Are Out of Control

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
Good sense makes a man restrain his anger, and it is his glory
to overlook a transgression or an offense.
Proverbs 19:11, AMPC
Proverbs 19:11, AMPC
TODAY'S WORD:
Every day, we have opportunities to get
upset, be frustrated, or get offended. Maybe you had plans that didn’t work
out, or someone was rude to you at the office. Maybe you were doing something
that should have taken one hour and it ended up taking three. Life is full of
inconveniences, but even though we can’t always control our circumstances, we
can control our reaction. I heard somebody say, “Life is 10% what happens to
you and 90% how you respond.”
We should always go out each day with a positive attitude, full of hope and expecting God’s favor. But at the same time, we should recognize that most days are not going to go exactly as we plan. Remember, we were created to live in peace. Peace is our position of power. If you get stressed because you got off schedule or upset because your child wouldn’t eat his breakfast, or frustrated because somebody offended you, what you’re doing is giving away your power. Instead, make the decision to release those offenses and disappointments so you can live in peace and enjoy the day as the blessing God prepared for you!

PRAYER FOR
TODAY:
Father in heaven, today I release every
care, concern, offense and disappointment to You. I choose to keep the peace
that You have given me. I look forward to today knowing that You are with me,
leading me in victory in Jesus’ name! Amen.
High Praises of God

Let the saints be joyful in the
glory and beauty [which God confers upon them]; let them sing for joy upon
their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their throats and a two-edged
sword in their hands.
—Psalm 149:5-6
—Psalm 149:5-6
We should form a habit of thanking and praising God as soon as
we wake up each morning. While we are still lying in bed, let’s give thanks and
fill our minds with Scripture.
Praise defeats the devil quicker than any other battle plan.
Praise is an invisible garment that we put on and it protects us from defeat
and negativity in our minds. But it must be genuine, heartfelt praise, not just
lip service or a method being tried to see if it works. We praise God for the
promises in His Word and for His goodness.
Worship is a battle position! As we worship God for Who He is
and for His attributes, for His ability and might, we draw closer to Him and
the enemy is defeated.
We can never be too thankful! Thank God all day long and
remember the many things He has done for you.
God never loses a battle. He
has a definite battle plan, and when we follow Him, we will always win.
Flocks and Fellowship
By Dr. David Jeremiah –

And they continued steadfastly in the
apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Acts 2:42
Acts 2:42
Recommended Reading: Acts 2:40-47
Fellowship is a strange word, made up of
“fellow” and “ship.” The first term implies another person; the term “ship”
means a state (apprenticeship), rank (lordship), condition (hardship)
or skill (penmanship). Fellowship involves the state of
being happily related to others in Christ; the rank of being
brothers and sisters in the family of God; the condition of
harmony that unites us; and the skill of sweet talk and good
deeds among us.
Only Christians can lay claim to this
kind of fellowship, and the most unique and lasting bonds are found in the Body
of Christ. The first believers, inflamed by the Spirit’s indwelling, continued
steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching, in fellowship, in breaking bread, and in
prayers.
If you’ve been reclusive recently and
unwilling to join a small group, a Bible study, or a prayer circle, perhaps
it’s time to reconsider your options. Go deeper in your Christian walk and
discover the beauty of fellowship.
Some Christians try to go to heaven
alone, in solitude. But believers are not compared to bears or lions or other
animals that wander alone. Those who belong to Christ are sheep… they love to
get together. Sheep go in flocks, and so do God’s people.
