LIFE ABOVE THE SUN
By Joseph Prince – Posted February 17, 2017
John 10:10
…I have come that the may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
When you are not enjoying abundant life, you will feel as if life is full of toil. In your heart, life is meaningless and empty. You feel like someone “grasping for the wind”. (Ecclesiastes 2:11)
It seems as if nothing you do adds up to much. The Bible calls this life “under the sun”. (Ecclesiastes 2:11) Someone who lives life under the sun may or may not know God, but God is either forgotten or not the center of things in his life. His thoughts are earthly and he does things to gratify his flesh. In the end, he finds life depressing and unfulfilled. Life under the sun is full of despair.
But this is not so with someone who lives life above the sun with God. For life with Him is filled with joy and pleasures at His right hand. (Psalm 16:11) Life is abundantly full and good just as Jesus promised—“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly”.
When you live life above the sun, your thoughts are heavenward and you become Christ-occupied. You live for Him because you know that all things were created through Him and for Him. (Colossians 1:16) When you live for His glory, your life takes on a new meaning and purpose.
God’s Word says, “And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” (Colossians 1:17) The Greek word for “consist” means “held together”. In Christ, all things are held together. And that is why when Christ is the central figure in your life, you will have it all together. Your mind will be held together. Your hopes and dreams will be held together. Your family will be held together by the cords of His love.
Your life will not be empty, but full of God’s goodness because “Christ in you, [is] the hope of glory”. (Colossians 1:27) It is a wonderful life—this life lived above the sun. And you will have an even more wonderful life to come in heaven!
Thought For The Day
When Christ is the central figure in your life, you will have it all together.
New Seasons of God's Blessing
By Joel Osteen – Posted February 17, 2017
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has
come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV
2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV
TODAY'S WORD:
Every person has had negative things spoken over them in the
past. Maybe someone told you that you don’t have what it takes or that you’re
not going to be successful. It’s almost like they cursed your future. But the
good news is that the blessing of God is greater than any curse. If you’ll get
rid of those negative strongholds and choose to believe what God says about you
in His Word, you will begin to see a turning point in your life.
Today, I declare blessing over you—that you are strong and courageous. You are full of talent, creativity and wisdom. You can accomplish your God-given dreams. You walk in divine health. You have favor with every person you meet. Everything you touch is going to prosper and succeed. Those seeds of greatness on the inside of you are growing stronger and stronger. That hidden treasure is about to burst forth, and you’re going to come into new seasons of increase, new seasons of favor, new seasons of God’s blessings! You are who God says you are. You have what God says you have. And I declare you can do everything God says you can do in Jesus’ name. Amen!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
"Father, thank You for making me new and for bringing me
into new seasons of blessing. I renounce every negative word spoken over me and
break its power by the blood of Jesus. I receive Your truth and boldly move
forward in victory in Jesus’ name. Amen."
Prudence
By Joyce Meyer - posted February 17, 2017
I, Wisdom [from God], make
prudence my dwelling, and I find out knowledge and discretion.
—Proverbs 8:12
—Proverbs 8:12
A word
you don’t hear very much teaching about is “prudence.” In the Scriptures
“prudence” or “prudent” means being good stewards of the gifts God has given us
to use. Those gifts include abilities, time, energy, strength, and health, as
well as material possessions. They include our bodies, as well as our minds and
spirits.
God has
given each of us different gifts and grace according to how He wants us to use
them. One person may be gifted to sing and does so in their local area, while
another person’s singing ability is known in most of the world. The Bible tells
us to use our gifts according to the grace given to us (see Romans 12:6).
Each of
us would be wise to know how much we are able to handle, to be able to
recognize when we are reaching “full capacity” or “overload.” Instead of
pushing ourselves into overload to please others, satisfy our own desires, or
reach our personal goals, we can learn to listen to the Lord and obey Him. If
we follow the Lord’s leading, we will enjoy blessed lives.
We all
experience stress and at times we feel the effects of it, but we should learn
to manage it well. Ask God to show you areas in your life that could be changed
to help you eliminate excess stress better.
The
Vision of Dry Bones
By DR. David Jeremiah - February 17, 2017
So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied,
there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone
to bone.
Ezekiel 37:7
Ezekiel 37:7
Ezekiel’s
vision of the Valley of Dry Bones is a dramatic picture of the restoration of
the nation of Israel, and it’s one of the most important prophetic chapters in
the Bible. But behind the prophecy is a biblical reality. God can resurrect the
body—perfectly, completely, and supernaturally.
In
this vision, Ezekiel was carried to a great valley littered with dry bones,
baked white by the sun. As he watched, the bones began to reassemble themselves
into complete skeletons, and then bodies appeared around them with sinews and
flesh and skin. Breath entered them, and they stood up, alive, a mighty living
army.
Though
the application of the vision involves the restoration of the nation of Israel,
there’s reality behind the image. The omniscient God knows the location of
every bone, every fragment, every molecule, and every grain of dust of all the
saints of the ages. One day He will supernaturally bring our human bodies
together, breathe into us His Spirit, and equip us physically for eternal life.
Because of the resurrection of Christ, the process of death will one day be
reversed, and death will be swallowed up in victory.
Our old history ends with the cross; our new history beings with
the resurrection.
