“But Pastor Prince, I have just sinned. How can I still be righteous?”

EVERLASTING RIGHTEOUSNESS
By Joseph Prince-Posted February 5, 2017

Daniel 9:24
Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness…

On Sunday, we hear a message that says, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” On Monday, we are still confessing, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” But come Wednesday or Thursday, we begin to confess our sins! Then, when Sunday comes, we get a fresh revelation of our righteousness in Christ and we start to confess our righteousness again. Why do we do that?

It cannot be that on Sunday, we are righteous. Then, a few days later, we become unrighteous because of sin, but are “re-righteoused” when Sunday comes again. No, our righteousness is an “everlasting righteousness”! Jesus has obtained “eternal redemption” for us. (Hebrews 9:12)

“But Pastor Prince, I have just sinned. How can I still be righteous?”

My friend, it is not what you do that makes you righteous. It is what Christ has done at Calvary. Romans 5:19 says, “For as by one man’s [Adam] disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.” It is the obedience of one Man—Christ—and not your obedience, that has made you righteous!

God wants you established in what Christ has done. He wants you conscious of your everlasting righteousness in Christ. How do you do that? You can listen to anointed messages that remind you of your righteousness in Christ. And don’t just know it in your head. Speak it. Every morning, tell yourself, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ!” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

You don’t need a revelation of how sinful you are. You know it when you sin. The devil reminds you of your sins. Even your friends and loved ones sometimes point out your sins. What you need, instead, is a revelation of how forever righteous you are in God’s eyes, especially when you sin.

And when you are conscious of this gift of righteousness that is everlasting, you will reign in life! (Romans 5:17) You will reign over sin, bad habits, sicknesses, lack and everything that holds you back from a victorious life!

Thought For The Day
It is not what you do that makes you righteous. It is what Christ has done at Calvary.

Receive the Overflow
By Joel Osteen – Posted February 05, 2017

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"...we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance."
Psalm 66:12, NIV

TODAY'S WORD:

No matter what your circumstances may look like today, God's plan is to bring you to a place of abundance! He wants you to have an abundance of peace, an abundance of joy, an abundance of resources—He wants you to overflow with His blessings so that you can be a blessing to the people around you.

If you want to live in the overflow of God's blessings, you have to have an attitude to receive the overflow. Remember, as a believer in Jesus, you are a child of the Most High God. Royal blood is flowing through your veins. You were not created to be average. You were not created to barely get by and drag through life. You have seeds of greatness on the inside! You are well able to do whatever God has called you to do! Today, put your shoulders back, hold your head up high and get ready to receive the overflow!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father, today I open my mind and heart to You. I choose to believe that You have a good plan for me. By faith, I receive the blessings You have for me so that I can be a blessing to others in Jesus’ name. Amen."

Qualified to Love: I (Don’t) Love You If . . .
By DR. David Jeremiah - February 4, 2017
So [God] said, “I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”
Exodus 3:12
When God called Moses to go to Egypt and free the Hebrew slaves, Moses was reluctant: “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” (Exodus 3:11) Moses went on to object three more times.
Recommended Reading:  Joshua 1:5; 3:7
One might expect God to withdraw His love from Moses, to turn His back and find another messenger. But that is not what God did. God didn’t say, “I won’t love you, Moses, if you are going to object to what I ask you to do. I will only love you if you obey Me.” That would have been conditional love: “I love you if you obey Me.” Instead, God was patient with Moses. Yes, He spoke firmly to him after the fourth objection (Exodus 4:14), but God never abandoned His servant. God never stopped loving the one who would redeem His people from slavery. God doesn’t love conditionally. His love is not jump-started by our obedience or cancelled because of our disobedience.
If you fear God has withdrawn His love because of something you’ve done, remember: God does not love you conditionally. He loves you, period.
The true measure of God’s love is that He loves without measure.

Waiting Well
by Joyce Meyer - posted February 05, 2017

But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.
—James 1:4

Patience is extremely important for people who want to glorify God and enjoy their lives. If we are impatient, the situations we encounter in life will certainly cause us to react emotionally.
The next time you have to wait on something or someone, instead of just reacting, try reminding yourself, Getting upset will not make this go any faster, so I might as well enjoy the wait. Then perhaps say out loud, “I am developing patience as I wait, so I am thankful in this situation.” If you do that, you will be acting on the Word of God rather than reacting to the unpleasant circumstance.
Remember, patience is a fruit of the Spirit that God wants to develop in your life. Don’t merely think about how hard and frustrating it is, but think about how blessed you can be as you learn the art of waiting well.
Prayer of Thanks: Father, I am grateful that You have planted patience in my spirit and that through You, I can react properly to any situation. Help me today, and every day, to exercise patience in all things.
