you are positioning yourself under an open window of heaven

Blessing Will Come on You
by Joseph Prince – posted February 12, 2017

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God."
Deuteronomy 28:2, NIV

TODAY'S WORD:

I hear testimonies all the time of what God is doing in the lives of His people. Even recently, a man told me how he received a check in the mail unexpectedly, an inheritance from a loved one he had never met. With that one check, he was able to pay off his house, which was a desire of his heart. He thought it was going to take him 30 years, but God had other plans. It happened in a fraction of the time!

When you’re in covenant with God, when you keep His commands and honor Him with your tithes and offerings, you are positioning yourself under an open window of heaven. He’ll do things for you in a fraction of the time that it would take anyone else. Take the limits off of your life today by stepping out in faith. Know that He loves you with an everlasting love and expect His blessings to come upon you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father, I come to You with an open and humble heart. Thank You for surprising me with Your love and blessings today. Keep me close to You and help me to always follow Your Word in Jesus’ name. Amen."

JESUS IS WILLING, BE HEALED!

Matthew 8:3
Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.”…

Do you know that it is God’s will for you to be healed? In fact, Jesus always healed the sick who came to Him. The blind, lame, maimed, mute, deaf and demon-possessed—He healed them all! (Matthew 8:16)

The Bible says that he who has seen Jesus has seen the Father. (John 14:9) You want to see what God is like? Look at Jesus! He never gave sickness to anybody. You never find Jesus looking at a person, a fine specimen of a man, and saying, “Come here. You are too healthy. Receive some leprosy!” In fact, when a leper came to Him for healing, Jesus, full of compassion, told the leper, “I am willing; be cleansed.”

Unfortunately, there are some Christians who say, “It is God’s will for me to be sick. God has some purpose, some mysterious purpose for my situation. It is all part of His divine plan and we shall all know in the sweet by and by, the reason why!” But these same people go to their doctors to get well. They take their medication and rest. Why do they do that if they really believe that God wants them sick? Doesn’t make sense, does it?

Come on, what makes perfect sense is this: God wants you well. He wants you whole. His will is for you to be healed! In fact, He is so willing that He took all your sicknesses and diseases upon His own body, so that you don’t have to suffer them today! He allowed Himself to be beaten and scourged, so that by His scourging—by His stripes—you are healed! (Isaiah 53:5) Since He has already suffered the sickness on your behalf, why should you suffer it today?

So my friend, if you are sick, know that God did not give you the disease. Read every healing miracle that Jesus did in the Gospels and see how Jesus is the Lord who heals you. (Exodus 15:26) Hear His gracious words, “I am willing, be healed,” and know that they are as much for you today as they were for the leper!

Thought For The Day

Jesus took all your sicknesses and diseases upon His own body, so that you don’t have to suffer them today!

Stop Getting and Start Receiving
by Joyce Meyer - posted February 12, 2017

And we receive from Him whatever we ask, because we [watchfully] obey His orders [observe His suggestions and injunctions, follow His plan for us] and [habitually] practice what is pleasing to Him.
—1 John 3:22

We often ask people if they "got" something, particularly when we speak of spiritual matters. "Did you 'get' a breakthrough?" we want to know, or "Did you 'get' your blessing?" Is the idea of "getting" from God biblical? The Bible teaches us about receiving, not about getting. The difference between getting and receiving is significant. To "get" means "to obtain by struggle and effort."
When everything in your life requires effort, life becomes frustrating and exhausting—and that's not the kind of abundant life Jesus came to give us. No, God wants us to live with a holy ease, a grace that keeps us from striving and struggling through life. That doesn't mean everything will be easy, but it means even difficult things can be done with a sense of God's presence and help.
"Getting" puts the burden on us to have to figure out things, to manipulate circumstances, and to try to force situations to work out a certain way. Receiving, on the other hand, means we simply take in what is being offered freely. We don't strive; we simply relax and enjoy what comes to us.
God wants to give us so much more than we can imagine. He is waiting to pour out blessings in our lives, and we need to know how to receive—both from Him and from others. Sometimes God works miraculously to meet our needs, but He frequently works through other people. If we pray for help, then we must let God choose how and through whom He will send it. We should not be embarrassed to be needy, because we are all needy in some way or another. God did not intend for us to be so independent we would never need help.
Trust in Him: Are you struggling and striving to "get" something from God? Stop "getting" and start receiving. He wants to bless you! Trust God and receive by faith what you have asked for.
