So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will
have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own
trouble.
—Matthew 6:34
—Matthew 6:34
Most of us have enough to handle today
without worrying about tomorrow. God will give you grace for today, but He will
not give you grace for tomorrow until tomorrow arrives.
So often people worry about something
that never happens. When you begin to think about the “what ifs,” the door
opens for fear and worry. Some people worry so much that their worries
become fear, and often the things people fear manifest in their life.
Do not allow yourself to dread
tomorrow. Just know that God is faithful. It is comforting to
know that whatever tomorrow may hold, He holds tomorrow. His grace is
sufficient to meet the need. Do not waste today’s grace by worrying about
tomorrow. Live one day at a time and you’ll be amazed at how much you can
accomplish for Christ.
Get Ready for the "New"

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
"And no one puts new wine into old
wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins and it will be
spilled, and the skins will be destroyed."
(Luke 5:37, ESV)
(Luke 5:37, ESV)
TODAY'S WORD:
Are you ready for a new chapter in your
life? In order to move forward into the blessings God has for you, you have to
be willing to let go of the old. The things that are behind you are not nearly
as important as what is out in front of you. It’s time to get ready for the
“new”!
You may have had some unfair things happen, things that you don’t understand. But let me tell you, you have come too far to stop now. Instead of allowing those things to hold you back, why don’t you let go and take a step of faith into the new? It’s time to get a new, bigger vision; it’s time to get a new, fresher outlook; it’s time to rise up with a new attitude! Instead of settling where you are, pick up and move forward. Have the attitude that says, “I may not understand it; it may not have been fair, but I am not getting stuck on this page. I know God has a new chapter for me—a chapter filled with blessings, favor and victory!

PRAYER FOR
TODAY:
Father God, thank You for Your
faithfulness in my life. Today, I choose to trust You with my past, present and
future. Give me wisdom to discern the seasons of my life and teach me to
embrace the new things You have in store for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Our Father in Heaven

In this manner,
therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
Matthew 6:9
Matthew 6:9
Recommended Reading: Leviticus 22:32
Approaching the throne of
God in prayer is simple and yet it is complex. When we pray, we are told to address
our petition to “our Father in heaven.” For those of us who have had a
wonderful father here on earth, that instruction gives a clear connection on
how to approach our Father in heaven. And yet, we are also addressing our
supplication to the Creator and Lord of the universe—the One who made all
things, including us.
Because He loves us, we can
address Him as “Father.” The Aramaic Abba might
be used by a young child addressing his father as “Daddy.” But because of Who
He is, we are to approach Him with reverence. We must not in any way diminish
His glory or presume when we pray, “For the LORD Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all
the earth” (Psalm 47:2). Someday we will be at home with our Father in
heaven—it is a thought too wonderful to fully imagine—but until that day, we
have the privilege of approaching “Our Father in heaven” through prayer.
Humble prayer to our
heavenly Father, in deep faith in Jesus Christ, is essential to qualify us for
the companionship of the Holy Ghost.

FEED ON JESUS AND LIVE
By Joseph Prince – Posted May 5,

John 6:57
As the
living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me
will live because of Me.
Some time
ago, I visited a friend of a church member who had cancer and wanted healing.
He was all ears, lapping and soaking up everything I shared with him. Today, he
worships with us in our church and is completely healed of cancer.
I remember
being at another man’s home at the invitation of his family members. He too was
suffering from cancer. When I entered his home, the man had his television on.
I started sharing Christ with him but he was not at all interested in what I
was saying. He continued watching the television program. I knew then that his
healing was a lost cause because faith for healing comes by hearing God’s Word,
not by watching television, reading newspapers or listening to your favorite
music.
Don’t get me
wrong. I am not against these things, but they are not going to heal you. When
you are sick, what you want is God’s healing flowing in your body. How does
that happen?
One of the
primary ways in which it happens is when you read your Bible, soaking up
everything on Jesus. Before you know it, His divine health flows into your
body, driving out every symptom of pain, sickness and disease. Even your
discouragement dissolves effortlessly. You find yourself encouraged, refreshed
and your darkness giving way to light. You see, there is no way you can feed on
Jesus through reading and hearing His Word, and still remain the same. He said,
“The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” (John
6:63)
My friend,
God wants Jesus to be food for you. We feed on Christ by seeing Him unveiled in
the Word, by seeing and meditating on what the Holy Spirit reveals of His
beauty and glory, and His finished work at Calvary. That is how we enjoy Jesus.
It is like having a good meal. And when you do that, Jesus Himself promises
that “he who feeds on Me will live because of Me”!
Thought For The Day
There is no
way you can feed on Jesus through reading and hearing His Word, and still
remain the same.
